First time to this amazing one-of-a-kind place. Just an awesome setting with all manner of aesthetics everywhere you turn.....inside and outside. The innkeepers, Hal and Gaye, were gracious and accomodating. Hal cooked one fantastic breakfast and Gaye supplied beautiful flowers that I saw her picking from her garden. Our room was charming and comfortable with an amazing array of books... More

We spent two enjoyable nights in this very welcoming accommodation. Hal, our host, satisfied my curiosity about the local history and the unusual structure -- once a barn -- which offers comfortable rooms and a great dining/living room with two story ceiling and beautiful wood all around. It is a most inviting place to have coffee (or another drink) and... More

It's like the inner left arm of the Storm King himself, which to be clear, I mean as a complement. This inn has broad appeal, appropriate as a full-time residence for Miss Havisham as well as her would-have-been great-great-great ...great-great urbanite grandchildren on vacation. It could have been an appropriate setting for a flashback scene in Fried Green Tomatoes or... More

The Storm King Lodge is truly a hidden gem! We were there in early spring to see the magnolia tree develop its flowers, absolutely spectacular! Not to mention that the property itself and its hosts are fabulous. Oh, and the breakfast part of this B and B, is over the top! Be sure to stay a few days, as each... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Storm King Lodge. It is located within a reasonable walk of Storm King and we easily walked there after our visit to the Sculpture Park.It is set in a charming location with good views of the valley beyond and despite the freeway being reasonably close it was very quiet.Hal could not have been more helpful... My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful night at Storm King Lodge. It was incredibly close to the Storm King Arts Center, the rooms were lovely, and the breakfast was delicious. Hal was a great host and gave us good recommendations for a dinner place. I would definetely go back

April 28, 2013 We will come back to Storm King Lodge whenever we visit this part of New York State again. Period. We will not research. We will not worry. We will simply book our stay. Hal and Gay Janks are so amiable, so full of wise and funny experiences, so welcoming of their guests, that we did not feel,... More

To stay in this B & B you really have to understand the concept of this type of establishment - it isn't just about an impressive place to stay or a wonderful breakfast - although Storm King Lodge meets both these criteria. It's really about the warmth of the welcome. Hal, as a host, gives a warm and friendly welcome,... More

Most memorable and lovely inn keepers with a wonderful B&B! It was such a wonderful stay, we were planning how to revisit this loge from the moment we arrived. Hal was also helpful as our onsite Zagat guide with great recommendations for hikes, restaurants, art centers, etc.
