You maybe wouldn't feel so disappointed with this hotel f you had paid 3* prices, instead of 4* prices, as it's definitely not 4*. Food - basic and not warm, but lot's of it. We had a problem wirth the API we filled in on the thomson website on arrival at Boa Vista Airport immigration had not recieved the Information and we had to pay €25 each for our entry visa,however after we paid our passport was NOT stamped with the visa and on tring to leave Boa Vista passport copntrol summoned the police... Hotel not as bad as people say.Bit dated and could do with a lick of paint. Beach lovely but windy, pools cold and problems getting sunbeds. Food good enough for a week, but would have been abit to much for two weeks(can only do so much with fish and chicken). Staff very friendly and entertainment team up for a laugh.... More

if anyone has mobility/walking difficulties then this hotel is NOT suitable .... the food is repeditive and often severed cold, the bar/lounge are is small, and the rooms are very very basic ... in our opinion, no way is this a luxury 4start hotel - more like a poor 2star More

Quite an old and tired hotel, rooms poorly furbished. This hotel does not deserve the bad reviews. It is not perfect, but is on a par with hotels we have stayed at in other developing countries. Large rooms, which were cleaned daily. Food was good. More

I cannot understand why anybody would give this hotel anything above a one rating. The room I was given was dirty and the whole of the hotel is dated and not anywhere near a 4*.
