To reach this pension, you have to do some serious hiking already, but it is worth it. The Belgian hostess is made for this work and place, she will help you with all your questions and will recommend different hikes. Nice view over the valley. Only the food was not that great, but hey, don't let that stop you.

We spent four days and that was excellent to walk around the northeastern part of Santo Antão. We had some walks and the owners helped also with pointing one out in their own valley. We've just spent two nights in the Casa das Ilhas, and had a great stay. We prearranged for one of their drivers to pick us up at the port of Porto Novo, coming from Sao Vicente by boat.
