“Loved the auberge, but no really pet friendly, as stated.”

Lovely location, dining room lots of character and very colourful, bed comfortable. However advert stated pet friendly and pets stay free. We booked with our two dogs for a one night stay. When we left the room to go out for a meal in a restaurant, we were told by the proprietor that they were an Auberge not a Kennels... More

Stayed here for 1 night in May while travelling in the Dordogne region. When we arrived staff seemed confused that we had a booking, although I'd booked months earlier online with credit card details and received a reservation number , apparently I hadn't confirmed (?) A charming hotel on the bank of the Dordogne, in the mediaeval town of Beaulieu. Each room named after a type of strawberry, for which the area is noted. Our room "Reine des Vallees" very small, walls are paper thin lets every sound penetrate. Hardly enough room to open 2 small cases. Bathroom has no windows and is smelly. More
