We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cedarwood B&B. Our experience matched our expectations that were based on previous reviews. Louis and Sharalee are excellent hosts. The location is secluded yet close to many exciting outdoor activities. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast which sustained us through a day of skiing at nearby Gore Mountain. We hope to return... More

Who's going to point us in the right direction for fun and games, frolicking over hill and dale? No one i say no one. i want to go back. Who ever said... More

Down-home country charm at its best. Clean, friendly, helpful, beautiful, and a backyard full of sculpture. We all (4) loved it. More

We had a wonderful time at Cedarwood B&B. The setting is beautiful, the house is historic, and Louis and Sharalee are great hosts. We went swimming in the nearby lake, rafting in the Hudson, and enjoyed a fire at night that Louis built. The food at breakfast and afternoon snacks are great. We hope to be back! More

Butternut squash flan, tomato aspic, poached eggs over spinach beds – all dishes rendered from farm-fresh ingredients including vegetables grown in backyard gardens. Breakfasts at Cedarwood House are simply spectacular, and often favorably unique, along with the more traditional French toast (with homemade bread) and bacon and eggs. Of the many B&Bs sampled across the country, this one rates #... More

Great spot to launch an outdoor adventure. We really enjoyed our one night stay here and would happily return when back in beautiful North River. We had a blast exploring the property, sampling the owner's home grown goodness and kicking back. Great dining options nearby. Look forward a return visit in the future. Cheers! More

Cedarwood is only slightly off the beaten path—easy to find and get to, yet with amazing peace and quiet. Hiking, cross-country skiing and snow-showing are literally out the back door, as well as a variety of other activities close by. Driving up the lane, guests will find themselves surrounded by the beauty of the Adirondacks, and a New England farmhouse... More

Location: We spent a long weekend xc skiing and snowshoeing at the Garnet Hill Cross Country Ski Center and wanted nearby accommodations (opting not to stay at Garnet Hill). Cedarwood is located on a very pretty (and quiet) residential road just a few miles from Garnet Hill, Gore Mtn, and the charming North Creek Main Street (try Bar Vino for... More

Our three-day stay was perfect. The service, breakfast, and hospitality of Cedarwood B&B exceeded our expectations. The room -- Artist's Retreat -- was creatively decorated yet uncluttered, spacious (had a seating area), and the bed was so comfortable. The well-stocked private bath was amazing with a tub and shower like no other. Sharalee and Louis were friendly and welcoming and... More
