We didn't have an opportunity to stay at the Gold Coast Inn because 2 weeks after our reservation was CONFIRMED (we made the reservation through bookings.com about 1 month before the actual event) we were called by the Inn telling us they had a "function" and could not honor our reservation. No attempt was made to help us book somewhere...

As mentioned, there was bullet proof glass at the reception desk extending from the counter top to the ceiling.
The hotel has an itinerant feel to it.
Rooms were basic.

Not bad. Looks rather unkempt, but not a bad place. This motel is not a destination unto itself, but a place to sleep and recharge. Rooms are very small, but clean and odor free.
