Whilst it's all fine and dandy to stay in Manhattan, you will pay for the privilege. But why bother when you can stay somewhere unique as this? Victorian's host, Danuta, is a gracious and helpful lady who made us feel very welcome inside this enormous house. Built in the 1840's, it is really testament to how craftsmanship and taste were... the negatives: - a bit too far from the ferry, but the buses run just fine. - a bit rough neighborhood but nothing too bad. otherwise the house, the room and especially the breakfast was great. Danuta is a lovely host. she even helped us by driving us to our next B&B on Staten island (had to stay in two... More

We stayed three nights in august in this charming B&B. The place is clean and the guest is ...top. You will appreciate the breakfast and probably learn about staten island "gangster history". The house is supposed to have welcomed some of them...a long time ago... If you're with children, it's perfect (two rooms + kitchen & shared bathroom). Staten island... More

We stayed at this B&B in August. It is conveniently located for visiting New York City as the Staten Island Ferry is within easy reach. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the breakfast kept us going until well into the afternoon. The owner makes every effort to keep the guests happy. If we visit NYC again, we will definitely... More

We stayed 5 nights at the beautiful b&b. The inn-keeper, Danuta is a lovely friendly lady who goes out of her way to please her guests. We stayed on the top floor of this 1850's Victorian home and it was just perfect. The room even has a sun room attached. The area is very safe and quiet. Breakfast is superb... More

The house interior furnishings were lovely and the breakfast was good. The main problem is that the owner keeps the house HOT and does not try to cool it down even with window AC units. Absurd especially in the summer when guests are trying to escape the heat. When we arrived it was almost 10 p.m., and our room was... More

When we go to Staten Island (which we do because our son attends college there), we always do two other things: 1. we take the free ferry to Manhattan and 1. we stay at the Victorian Bed & Breakfast nearby. This charming historic house is owned by a lovely woman, a Polish architect, who oversees everything with care and taste.... More

My husband and I stayed for two nights the week-end of May 22-23. It was great! Danuta made us feel very welcome and prepared the most amazing breakfast for us! The room was comfortable and spotless. In addition, the Victorian charm decor! We will be back for sure. Thank you Danuta and salutations from Ottawa, Canada Yanick and Rebeca

Wow ! This is the perfect blend:  Warm, cozy with huge rooms by any standards with the Victorian atmosphere. Danuta is the perfect host with her home cooking breakfast and numerous tips about anything from parking at the ferry to the history of Staten Island...  Everything Danuta does is done with CLASS from the decoration, to the bed linen used... intimate b & b, with free on street parking. the neighborhood kind of throws you off at first - being in a mixed residential area. but appears safe and very convenient to public transit to State Island Ferry (which is free) to the city (or you can park in the municipal parking for $5/day) the hostess is very pleasant, friendly,...
