We had a wonderful stay at Chateau Grand Barrail. We were lucky to stay four nights. Our room was a large renovated room in the annex, with a terrace overlooking the vineyards. We stayed here as part of a wine tour. Our rooms were not in the chateau itself, but in the "motel" like addition. They were nicely decorated, clean, but they did have a faint smell of cigarettes. Beautiful Chateau !! Was there in August with friends, and we all enjoyed our stay !! All rooms are lovely, however the room in the main Chateau are worth looking into.
