This was the first Parador on our 7 stay trip in the Rioja and Navarra regions of Northern Spain. Although the hotel is modern it is wonderfully located on a hillside overlooking Soria, but within just a few minutes easy walk to the toen centre.

Modertn build incorporating some of the castle. Easy to arrive at and good parking. Modern light rooms with enclosed balcony looking over countryside. Comftable beds. Minibar and flat screen TV, standard Parador bathroom but with bidet. Unusually for a Parador, this one was a new build but there were some old ruins dotted about so that's OK! Nicely located above the town of Soria in an attractive park with excellent views. This parador is totally modern, built around Roman ruins at the top of a hill. It's an eyesore and a blot on a beautiful landscape, but it's a great place to stay. Arrived in Soria and followed signs to the Parador. Very glad that I did. Winding road takes you up a hill that overlooks the city and the hotel is set in the grounds of some sort of old fortification. Exceptional service and a beautiful room.
