My husband was a visiting professor at Duke for a semester, and we needed a small, furnished apartment convenient to campus. Duke Tower turned out to be the perfect solution for us. The apartment itself (premium) was clean and comfortable and had an adequately equipped kitchen to accommodate real cooking over the four month period. Beds were good, and the... More

My wife was diagnosed with brain cancer in March '12, and we had to hastily prepare a trip to Duke Hospital for a 2nd surgery in April '12. The staff at Duke Towers bent over backwards to find us accommodations for our entire stay, and made the extra effort to make sure we could stay in the same room during... More

Duke Tower has a no smoking policy in their rooms, and I know that it is difficult to enforce unless you actually catch someone in the process. In all fairness to Duke Tower, I didn't let them know. We arrived after the office closed (the security man had to let us into our room). We were there to visit our... More

My husband, daughter and I stayed at Duke Towers while our younger daughter underwent major surgery at Duke Hospital. The "premium" room was comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly and professional. The grounds of the hotel were well kept and we enjoyed the shuffle-board, oversized checkers and outdoor grill. (A little too chilly for the pool:()The "shuttle" drivers... More

I needed a simple home-away-from-home for when I attend my program at Duke University in March and found this to be just what I was looking for. A simple one bedroom apartment, with just the right amount of furniture and all the absolute necessary amenities (plus flat screen tvs). The location was very good - near town but not near... More

I have stayed at Duke Towers a total of almost 5 months over the past 4 years. It is a home-away-from-home. The one-bedroom condo units are spacious, clean and comfortable. HVAC works well in all the units -- and I have stayed in over 10 of them. For what you get, the rate is excellent. Although the furniture and decor... More

Duke Tower doesn't look much like a tower. When I first read the name of the place, my imagination quickly flew to a tall castle tower with perhaps someone like Rapunzel in one of the windows. Alas, no jousting knights or fair maidens appeared at my arrival. In fact, this is a circa 1960's motel built in a square around... More

We stayed for four days at the Duke Towers as an experiment to see if we could travel with our dogs, since we spend alot of time in Durham. We were in the standard room, which was fine since we weren't expecting anything fancy in their pet designated rooms, but even then the room was well worn and last decorated... More

My husband and I have stayed twice at Duke Tower hotel in the past year. Both times we were more than pleased at the accommodations. For about the price of an average hotel room, we were able to enjoy a well furnished condo with a living room, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom, and bath. There were even two T.V.'s, one in... More

I completely enjoyed my stay at Duke Tower hotel. The rooms are actually four room apartments at a price about the sme as or better than a regular hotel. You get a seperate spacious bedroom, bathroom, well equipped full kitchen and living room/dining room. All the rooms overlook a beautiful courtyard with swimming pool. There are numerous great restaurants within... More
