My daughter and I come to Durham often for medical reasons. We LOVE Duke Towers! The rooms are always very clean and supply us with all the amenities we need to make our time away from home pleasant and comfortable. The mattresses on the beds are soooo comfy! And I love that they have security, shuttle service, fenced in property,... More

This is a great hotel! I was attending a conference at the Marriott hotel in downtown. (Marriott is pricey, has no free breakfast and you have to pay for parking). In contrast, Duke Tower is very reasonably priced, has a $5 breakfast and lots of free parking. The rooms are spacious with a nice living room, full kitchen and big... More

I stayed here with a group for a week (for work). For the price we paid (I've paid the same group rate to stay at a Marriott), it wasn't worth my money. While fairly clean, the apartment was very outdated. The green rug the living room had many stains and the bathroom definitely hasn't been updated since the 80's. The... More

I reserved a room at this hotel primarly because I wanted to try a tempurpedic mattress that they advertised as having. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quiet surroundings. No traffic noise! All the rooms overlooked a beautiful courtyard that had a mini golf course, and pool. All the rooms have a kitchen, living room and bedroom at less... More

We stayed one night here to go to a concert at DPAC, which is just about 1.5 miles away. We chose this hotel because they accepted dogs and weren't outrageously priced and we were happy with our choice. The staff was incredibly friendly and the low cost shuttle to downtown and back was such a wonderful bonus! The room had... More

My friends and I recently traveled down to Durham on a king of spur of the moment winter vacation. We had chosen to stay at Duke Tower due to its proximity from bars and restaurants, and I had booked a Premium suite for 4-nights, as per the suggestions on this site. We arrived late in the evening on a Saturday,... More

The staff at Duke Tower were brilliant and wonderfully accommodating for our group. We highly recommend them. A fun place, not super corporate, charming, just wonderful. We stayed there for almost two weeks, with many people in our company coming and going, and we had not a single mixup in our complicated and busy itinerary there. Kudos to Duke Tower!

What a Great, "Reasonably priced" place to stay. A comfortable, very clean and spacious condo property. A friendly staff and very nice sized, 5' ft deep pool . A low cost breakfast is available on site. The Duke Tower is close to downtown restaurants and Jazz bars. There is also a small supermarket next door. You can't find a better... More

I stayed at the Duke Tower for 5 nights while attending training at the NESCent facility about a mile away. Management has succeeded in creating a nice "home away from home" atmosphere. The pleasantly landscaped courtyard featuring a larger than average pool was very relaxing to come "home" to each evening. The king bed in my unit, #253, was comfortable.... More
