I purchased the package on livingsocial.com for three nights at the inn. When we pulled up my adult daughter thought we had driven to the Texas chain Saw massacre! Our room was nice and clean. The toiletries were big bottles of shampoo and conditioner from Walmart. The closet activity is the winery about 20 minutes away. We arrived on Sunday... More

When my husband and I first pulled into the driveway we weren't sure what to expect. We came to meet Marti, a former White House Chef and history buff. We weren't disappointed. He immediately made us feel right at home and give us a tour of the house. The accomodations were comfortable, the food was delicious, and we learned so... More

Visited the Inn of The Patriots recently with voucher from a social network. The Oceanus Room was our home for the night; very spacious and comfortable. the whole mansion reeks of history from Revolutionary War memorabilia to being the culinary museum of the White House. Chef/owner Marty is a former White House chef and military veteran who loves history and... More

This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and it was fantastic! We felt right at home and planned the trip to take the cooking class offered by Chef Marti. We stayed in the Colonel Cleveland Room and was very happy but the breakfast and the innkeeper ( Chef Marti ) are the stars of the show! What... More

We just returned from spending the weekend at the Inn of the Patriots and had an amazing time. From the moment we walked in we felt at home and were welcomed By chef Marti with a big smile. This was our first B&B experience so we were very unsure of what to expect but despite a bit of hesitation we... More

We really enjoyed our stay in the Ocean Room. The owners are friendly and the staff superb! The food is delicious. Make sure to leave time to take the tour of the house. It's so worth it! While you will hear stories about Chef Marti's time in the White House, you will also hear a lot about the history of... More

We had to reschedule at the last minute due to a death in the family and the owner could not have been more understanding. They allowed us to extend our coupon for a whole year! Service like that will keep us coming back.

It's not about the Inn and its eclectic collection of uniforms and artifacts. It's not about the sumptuous breakfast served each morning. It's is all about the innkeeper, Marti Mongiello, your host, your chef, and your resident historian. He is entertaining and involving. You find yourself becoming a part of a weekend that includes a history lesson, a cooking lesson,... More

I purchased a "Living Social" deal to this place mostly because it was relatively close to me (I live in DC) and had a cooking class with a chef who was the executive chef at the White House for several years in mid to late 1990s. What I ended up getting was not only a relaxing and enjoyable weekend but... More

What an interesting experience. We were celebrating our 46th anniversary and wanted something different, and that's what we got. As others have mentioned, this is as much a history museum as a B&B. Our room was very nice, breakfast each day was wonderful, and the history tour by Marti was both informative and entertaining. His stories of being a chef... More
