Do not know how a restaurant can make a salad be this bad....or why they would serve salads this bland and boring. It was like the salad came out of a bad and sat on the plate for a couple of hours waiting to be served.

My husband and I decided at the last moment to stay the weekend in Highlands for my birthday. We made reservations at the Main Street Inn hoping to have a unique stay. The hospitality was wonderful, we couldn't complain at all about the people (front desk and house keeping). However, the room we had was TINY! My husband is 6'4"...

My husband and I decided to spend a romantic overnight in Highlands. I read through reviews of most of the Inns in Highlands and also checked out their websites. Main Street Inn had the best mid-week deal and the best location so we booked directly on their website. The Inn is right at the start of Main Street, so it...

Faye, Linda and Jean made our second trip to Highlands to stay at the cottage at The Main Street
Inn. As before, we had a delightful time. We only got to enjoy one delicious meal at the Inn, but it
was fabulous!! The white chocolate mousse dessert was awesome!! We love Gary's hospitality, and
friendliness. The rooms are very quaint,...

This quaint inn is a favorite escape just two hours from Atlanta, the stress just melts away upon arrival. Gary is so welcoming and accomodating with dinner reservations and suggestions for fun things going on around town. The food at the inn is very good, and nothing beats relaxing in the bistro or the by the fireplace in the lobby...

I loved staying at Main Street. The inn is charming without being stuffy! I loved the owners and they made me feel like family. The rooms were comfortable and cozy. Make sure you eat dinner there because the food is excellent and reasonably priced. A must is the puff pastry with white chocolate mousse and berries...to die for!
We booked this inn at the last minute after being diverted from the beach because of a hurricane for 3 nights. When we checked in no offer was made for luggage assistance and we were on the top floor of the inn.
The website mentions gourmet breakfast but watch out - that doesn't apply to weekdays. We were not given...

The management and staff were most friendly. Available for any needs 24 hours a day. Our vehicle became inoperatable, and Gary and Pam made sure all our transportation needs were met. Dinner there one night, and breakfest each day was excellent. Can not say enough good about this establishment.
I was traveling with my 10 lb miniature poodle and we were both treated like royalty. The rooms are immaculate, even the bath soap is quite special. Coffee in the lobby and a lovely outdoor area to sit and read, have a drink or coffee and all well located on Main Street, Highlands, walking distance to everywhere. The staff even...
