Stayed for two nights in May. Room was average, but quiet. The bathroom was basic. Internet service was okay. Room had a AC unit that had a vibrating noise when the compressor ran. Typical HI Express breakfast, nothing fancy. Within walking distance of two good resturants

We stayed for 1 night in April and found the hotel be just fine for our stay. The staff was very friendly, the room comfortable for the 4 of us. The continental breakfast was very good as there was hot/cold food to choose from. Would stay there again, if in the area

The room was clean and included a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave.. We were here off season so the breakfast area was not crowded. Breakfast offerings were more than adequate. The hotel is not on the beach, but does provide a beach walkway to the water. The hallways do smell of cigarette smoke, altho it seems to be a non-smoking...

Staff was friendly enough, but hotel is in sad shape. Hallways smell like cigarette smoke. Bathroom sink was cracked. Grout in tiles and tub moldy. Stay as a last resort.

Based on previous reviews, we were not sure. Anyhow, we decided to go. Flat screen are now in and the room was tidy. Service was excellent. The included breakfast is ok but small place if many people. Overall, we would come again.

I drove to Kitty Hawk Dec. 8 at the last minute. We arrived at Holiday Inn Express at 2 am, very tired and desperate for sleep. We stayed here for the OBX half Marathon. It was nice enough for our stay. The front desk clerks were very friendly and gave all of the runners a gift pack for the race. The rooms were a bit dated but clean.
