Our weekend trip to Little Switzerland, NC was very pleasant and made even more enjoyable by our stay at the Skyline Village Inn. We visited there the second weekend in November so the tourist season has passed, but the hospitality of the owners, Mike and Lynn was still present. The stone lodging was built in the 40s, renovated over the... More

Stayed there with a group of motorcyclists riding the Blue Ridge, very convenient and while the owner was friendly and told great stories about the property and its history he should be spending more time cleaning the rooms and refurbishing the quarters. Our room was moldy, dirty, and we slept on a bed that you could feel the springs coming... More

Sorry you weren't happy with your room. We go to great lengths to ensure all our rooms are thoroughly cleaned and ready for occupancy each day. The room you were in had been cleaned thoroughly the day you arrived and occupied 20 of the last 30 days with no complaints. If you found something not right maybe you should have... More

We wanted a view and we wanted simple good food and we stumbled upon this little gem. Now their menu is literally burgers, a pizza, lasagna, salad, and I think that's about it. They have an extensive beer selection. The owners are fun and friendly with a couple really cute dogs. They will sit and eat with you which is... More

Great place in the mountains, just off Blue Ridge Parkway. I've stayed there approximately 5 times. Mike makes you feel at home. You check in on the first floor and park around back and come in on the third floor. You can sit out on the balcony and look at the mountains. Has a motorcycle shed and place to wash... More

Stayed here with my teenage daughter on the way to DC. Place is full of history, owners are full of kindness. Could not ask for a better time. You can spend more money somewhere else if you're not an especially social person, but for us, this was a perfect fit. Great stories, great people, great dogs, great breakfast. HIGHLY recommended... My father and I took a motorcycle trip.. I was in charge of finding places to stay... We pulled into this place... and my dad looked at me... confused.. from the outside this place looks bad.. but inside is amazing... so much history.. rooms are simple but comfortable... the views from room are amazing... we got lucky and watched a... I visited Little Switzerland on 4 occasions taking my 3 grandchildren on vacation for mountain fun. We had balcony rooms that were clean and inviting (at least they were clean until 2 teenage boys took up residence in one of them) - the view was great to enjoy with morning coffee. Lynn and Mike were very friendly and gracious and... More

My daughter and our puppy (yes, Mary 54258, it's a pet friendly hotel) stayed at the Skyline Village Inn. We were on a tight budget but I wanted to take her on a vacation that included hiking and horseback riding. The very cleanliness conscience owners, Lynn and Mike, went out of their way to accomodate us and even helped us... More

The reviewer with all the complaints seems to be the type of person you can never please. When I was a guest at the Skyline, Lynn and Mike were so nice and accomodating I felt like a long lost friend - something the big box hotels can never achieve. I personally like having dogs around and Mike and Lynn's dog... More

I've stayed in 5 star luxury hotels from South Beach Miami to Center City Philly and I love this place. I've stayed here twice and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else On my first visit in March I had to rearrange my check in date and time several times. Each time I called, Mike was very accommodating. My daughter and I... More
