We have stayed here twice for long weekends. Just perfect for getting together with family or friends... Or a wedding! The beds and bedding are FABULOUS. We slept like logs. (We stayed at the Grove Park Inn and the old beds there were horrible. They had to bring up boards to add under the mattress! Can you believe that?) The... More

This hotel and location are perfect for a long weekend. If you have reasonable expectations I cant imagine finding a better "home base" to explore the area. The hotel does show its agea little but the rooms are very clean and the setting is amazing. Also, I found the staff to be extremly helpful. If you decide to stay at... More

I can't remember how we first found this place, but for three years we plan multiple visits between May and Nov. we love the lodge even though the rooms are older. The lodge fireplace is wonderful. The views from the lodge great. Multiple dinning options and great food mean you just stay and enjoy. The pool overlooking the mountains and... More

The Switzerland Inn in Little Switzerland in North Carolina, offers just about everything for a nice peaceful holiday in the mountains. Great accommodations of all different kinds, from lodge to cottages, and it is dog friendly. Nice sized pool facing the mountains, large grounds surrounding. Great restaurant, and bar, with extremely friendly staff. Oh, and there are a few shops... More

Went there on our bikes while riding the BRP. The hotel is spectacular and the room was clean, roomy, comfy beds, fluffy pillows, and we were able to park in fron tof our room with a walk to the bikes. The hotel itself has an amazing lobby, the you step outside onto the dining patio and OMG be prepared to... More

Little Switzerland Inn is a great location for a weekday or weekend getaway. We have stayed there many times. When we are with a large group, they always accommodate us very well. We like the rooms in the Chanticleer Building on the 2nd floor. They are spacious, very clean, and offer panoramic views from the back porch/balcony. The food at... More

I stayed overnight in the Diamondback Lodge this past May and enjoyed the entire experience. The Lodge is very old school--eight rooms and a common area with a sofa and fireplace. The rooms are pine paneled but comfortable and reasonably priced. I can't speak to the rooms in the Inn itself, but the Lodge was just what I needed after... More

Great pub atmosphere, great pub food, great bartender, great location, oh it was great!!!! Took a walk on the Grounds of The Switzerland Inn, which the pub is part of and the landscaping and views of the Blue Ridge area were breathtaking!

Jewell hidden away right off the Blue Ridge Parkway about 50 miles north of Asheville, NC. Great Views, Good Food, just a good place to get away. There are also some excellent Golf Courses (public you can play) with an easy 20-25 mile drive.

Most reviews here don't indicate whether the stay was in the Main Lodge, Chanticleer buildings, etc. Well, I'm guessing most of the great reviews about updated rooms and all were for the Main Lodge, because unfortunately, we stayed in a second floor Chanticleer room and didn't have the best experience. We stayed 2 days over Thanksgiving. Our Chanticleer room could... More
