My husband and I went to Ocracoke Island for the first time in 2004. We have been returning every year and continue to stay at the Anchorage Inn. The front desk and staff are very courteous and amiable. Small fare breakfast provided so you can sit on the many deck chairs and enjoy the view. The rooms are clean, comfortable,... More

First of all, there were 3 of us on this trip, 2 in one room and me (third wheel) in another. Guess we were lucky to get rooms here at the last minute. We came on the second day they had opened for the season thinking there would be plenty of rooms available.....but.....we were wrong. We were told most of... More

Large inn right on the harbor and close to the ferry. Standard hotel furnishings and atmosphere. Carpet was really dirty but the rest was clean. Probably a reasonable rate for island fare, but there are many more charming places. More

Comfortable standard hotel, pretty basic, but commands the best view on the island overlooking the harbor. Watch the boats come in. Across from a great lighthouse photo op & best place watch the sunset. It is the hub of activity and is walking distance to all of the immediate places to eat & shop. The small pool is dockside, some lounge... More

My wife and two kids (2 and infant) stayed here for 5 nights. Harbor Views are awesome, other guests are very friendly and casual, rooms are totally basic and in need of update but Ocracoke is NOT Martha's Vineyard (and thank God for that.) The bar across the street has live music, the hotel's pool is great (right on the... More

We stayed here during a family vacation...We have two dogs and like to take them with us. This hotel was a really good pet-friendly choice--clean/tile floors. On the scenic bay at the end of the island--perfect location, really! Close to fishing piers across the street, shops, really good burger restaurant across the street. The beach is a drive, but this... More

We were able to get a reservation for an end room on the 4th floor with a beautiful view of the harbor. You have a shared porch with plenty of chairs for relaxing and enjoying the view. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room itself was very clean. The inn isn't anything "special" but it fits perfectly... More

The Anchorage Inn is at the perfect location in Ocracoke. We stayed on the 4th floor center and had a beautiful view of the harbor and surrounding areas. We could hear the music from McNally's across the street. Sat on our deck in adirondack chairs and caught a beautiful sunset and breeze. I would recommend this to all. More

The Anchorage Inn is old and needs some updating, but that is just like everything else on Ocracoke. Our room was clean and the staff was helpful. Their breakfast really needs work, but we decided to just go out on the second morning. The Pony Restaurant was just down the road and their breakfast was really good and very reasonable. More

My husband and I came to Ocracoke for the first time and didn't really know what to expect. We had made plans for a sunset sail on the Windfall ll and booked the reservations at the Anchorage Inn after much searching through the lodging options. When we arrived we were pleased to find the Inn was a short walk from... More
