We booked in here having struggled to find reasonably priced accom for 4 adults and 2 children for one night in the barossa - the whole place was grotty and run down and not looked after nicely. Our room had a really strong unpleasant odour everything was a bit run down... They moved us to a new room which was... More

Our experience: host unavailable & office unattended for 24 hours; hot summer day but pool gate locked, cover in a heap on the dead lawn, dirt and muck in the water (we particularly chose the motel for the pool!); room cool and air-conditioned; drinks in fridge? none!; breakfast menu? non existent - but we can wander next door to the... We had booked a deluxe room which turned out to be a disappointment. Amongst the facilities advertised were a swimming pool and laundry. The swimming pool was covered over with plastic and quite obviously had not been in use for some time. The out of order washing machine in the laundry was grubby and dusty as so was the dryer... Nothing special, but if you're travelling on a budget, this is perfectly good to stay at. It is a bit out of town, so you'll have to head back to Angaston to get a meal. Facilities could be updated but were clean.

We had a celebration at the Vintners Restaurant across the road, so it was a wonderful location for us. The rooms at The Vineyards Motel were large with all the facilities you need. There is also a pool and fantastic views of surrounding vineyards. Even better if you are there on a Saturday, the Barossa Farmer's Markets are across the... More

Very basic and dated accomodation. Far better available in the Barossa at same or less cost - e.g. Vine Court Motel, Nuriootpa. Furnishings, bathroom facilities and external surrounds all in need of attention.

A motel is a motel and they all appear to be the same, 70s-ish and dingy. It was perfectly clean, the room was huge, no problem getting a travel cot. It was cool enough inside so wouldn't fancy it in winter. Swimming pool on the premises but it was too autumnal to need :( The booking, check-in & check-out was... More

This is an old one story motel that is in the process of being rehabilitated. If you can get past the 1960's decor, you should enjoy staying here. Our king deluxe room was large and had a small kitchen. It was clean. You park right outside your door under a covered awning (nice in hot weather). The staff is very... More

My partner and I had the privileged to stay at this motel. We only stayed the one night, but a brilliant location, extremely friendly staff, good price, convenient location to Angaston town centre. We stayed in number 7. Although the furnishings were a bit outdated, what do you expect though from an old country motel. The large queen bed was... More

Motel is about 2km from Angaston in the Barossa Valley. It the usual 70s style Aussie motel and like most of them it could do with a bit of a facelift (which the owners have planned) The good bits: Convenient location. Best value in Angaston. Friendly host, a swede called Marcus Wireless internet Pool (spent quite a lot of time... More
