This is the second time we have stayed at Ajax. Very comfortable, clean and great location, 5 minute walk into town. My favourite place was sitting in the lounge in front of the fireplace. The staff were amazing, particularly Tim, made you feel right at home.

What a home away from home! Midge and her team really made us feel welcome. The lodge is cosy and warm with comfortable lounge areas. The real bonus was the food - a fabulous 3 course dinner and a cooked breakfast! We'll be coming back.

Very nice place to stay, very surprised to receive dinner included. The lodge was very cosy, well appointed and in a great location. Convenient to walk to the Village or catch the bus just outside. Would definitely stay here again

I called on a Thursday night to stay Saturday night @$380 for a night. I called at 4:30pm and was told that I have to call back the next morning "in case" they get a weekend booking. I understand they want to wait to get more money but you'd think the night before the weekend nobody would be wanting to book a weekend stay as there's so much planning that goes into going to the snow. It's not exactly cheap so I would of thought on a Thursday night would be late enough to rule out the possibility of someone else wanting to stay a weekend. Didn't call back, didn't go to buller, had an awesome time at Hotham an only an hour and half further away. Money grab!

Great location, 5 minute walk to Village centre, family friendly accommodation. Manager Michelle great to talk to, our small requests attended to promptly. Breakfast and Dinner included in price. Warm hearty meals full of flavour. Friday night buffet is great! Clean comfortable bed, kids loved the bunks, playing table tennis, billiards, board games like Guess Who and relaxing in 5 different lounge areas. Can highly recommend Ajax to all visitors to Mt Buller and we look forward to staying here again. It was exactly what we were looking for in a Lodge for our first snow ski holiday.

The rooms at Ajax are quite simple (and perhaps a little creaky to those unaccustomed to staying in wooden floor homes), but are functional enough and quite welcoming after a long day on the slopes. The three course dinners and breakfast buffets are amazing, and are all reminiscent of hearty home-cooked meals. Would definitely visit again.

The Ajax Ski Club was fantastic for our family of 4. Rooms are simple but clean and warm but the best part is the deluxe lounge areas and the fabulous gourmet feasts that come out of Stephen & Michele's kitchen each night! 3 courses of yum. Well done and thanks for a memorable ski trip. We'll be back.

We had a really enjoyable time staying at Ajax, the 3 course dinners were fantastic after an exhausting day of skiing. Nestled in the trees and in walking distance from the village it was the perfect location. Our children are asking us when we can go back there again! Even though the place is a little bit old, it is well kept and neat. The beds were really comfortable. The bathroom sink was pretty small, but we managed.
