We camped with our own van here and thought it was awesome. We were greeted by Fiona who had been working in recpetion for only a few weeks. She was helpful and friendly and allowed us to pick our own site. The grounds a carefully maintained by a committed caretaker. We were positioned under a large old tree(one of many)... More

The Fitzroy lodge is a nice spot to stay if in these parts, clean rooms, air cons that work, friendy compentant staff, nice grounds and good food. The downsides are that it's pretty expensive ($150 odd) for better than average dongas and $200 for reasonable motel rooms, the 2% credit card surcharge is simply offensive (includes VISA and MasterCard) especially... Fitzroy River Lodge is by far the best place I have stayed in the Kimberley. Granted it is a little more expensive than Broome, but when compared to Derby, Halls Creek and other places in the Kimberley it is very reasonable and worth every cent. Reception were very cheerful, it was great to see smiles after a long drive in... More

Lovely green areas for camping/caravans. Rooms only have a double bed so your feet get to "hang out". Older Aircons have a hard time keeping up with the heat. We had a "refurbished room", I dont know what they did as we have stayed here a few times and could not see changes, maybe it was new bedspreads !. Fairly... More

There isn't much to choose from in Fitzroy Crossing. My wife and I travelled through and stayed the one night. We paid $150 for a Boab Room. This consisted of a small room in a portable accomodation type unit. It's clean and did the job but considering I am currently staying tonight in Broome in a nice hotel room for... More

Not a lot of choice in Fitzroy Crossing. Motel rooms are $200 per night and are quite rustic in decor and furnishings. Pool facing rooms can be noisey and lack privacy. The a/c doesn't go below 24 degrees so it is necessary to have the ceiling fan going as well. There is a service charge for everything, room service, using... More

We booked a motel room at very short notice and were pleased to get in. In remote Australia you don't expect a lot, and this place was slightly better than expected. The room was pretty much standard Australian motelsville - a double bed and a single (both comfortable and clean), aircon, shampoo etc in the bathroom (good shower), a kitchen... More

Having just spent 9 days on the Gibb River Road this camp ground was like an oasis in the desert. V well maintained grounds. Spotlessly clean shower and toilet block, excellent laundry and clothes line. Also special undercover areas for group tours. bar and restaurant nice also. The Geikie Gorge cruise is worth doing and there are some local aboriginal... More

Stayed here with a group for 1 night as part of a Kimberly tour. Room was very spacious and clean. I loved the setting of the Lodge, it was almost like a tree house. Buffet dinner was excellent with a variety of dishes to choose from. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was a bit confusing with the food/beverages set... More

We stayed here just last week; But our welcome was everything but warm. If we didn't book it in advance and paid it...we certainly would have left immidiatly!! Rooms are nice and clean, that's the positive about the hotel. But housekeeping started cleaning their rooms at 7.30 and being realy loud!! Also the beds are real small, we wouldnt call... More
