The beds were fabulous - like sleeping on a cloud! It's also within walking distance of everything you need. But the best thing about this motel is the staff - going way beyond the call of duty to help us out when we had a flat tire. We will return for sure.

I stayed at the South Country Inn March 2012. It looks like the are in the process of a much needed renovation. The hotel is in a great location walking distance to everything you need. The staff were extremely helpful. My husband and I checked in late approximately 1am and were tired from our travels. The girl who checked us... More

There have never been a lot of choices in Cardston. I was so happy when the South Country Inn came to town. It's not "new" anymore, but it is better than any other place I have stayed in or seen in town. It looks like they are in the process of updating, with some flat screen tv's in some of... More

We stayed in Cardston on the way from Waterton National Park back to the US. Cardston is a small, depressing town - it is a 'dry' LDS (Morman) town with little to recommend it, although the Remington Carriage Museum is quite interesting. The town and hotel were on our way and had some reasonable reviews. The carpet in our room... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in July 2011. The hotel was nothing to write home about, but perfectly satisfactory for our needs. When we called ahead to make our reservation we requested a fridge in the room and we were happy to see one there when we arrived. The pool and spa are nice and the wifi worked without... More

I took a road trip of Canada, and Cardston was my last stop before crossing the border and going to my friend's house in Shelby, MT. It is a lovely town with a very neat history, and is a good base to explore Southern Alberta. The South Country Inn is a delightful hotel. It's nothing too fancy or frilly--think almost... More

It is a Aug long weekend and Glacier Park hotels are fully booked. So we use Cardston as our base to Glacier Park. It is 20KM to the border, 40KM to the park entrance. We reserve 2 bedroom suite. They forget to put mirowave and fridge. I'd say it is a motel with basic service. For one night stay, it... More

Nothing fancy but clean, quiet and very good staff at the front desk, Dena, she was very friendly and accommodating especially after we told her of the experience at the Flamingo. We checked in very late due to having reservations at the other one which we wouldn't stay at even if it had been free, the car would have been... More

Good place to stay. Nothing fancy but all around OK place to stay. An indoor pool off the lobby which would be good for kids. Don't eat at cafe across the parking lot as greasy and slow. For breakfast go to other end of the main street on the left. Small place with locals and flavor.

The management does take pride here. The room, hallways, stairwell & parking lot well maintained. But, no coffee machine in the rooms. Coffee in the lobby though. There is a large indoor pool just off the lobby. Well done Country Inn.
