My wife and I rode through a cold rainy day and pulled into blue river to spend the night. I had mentioned to my wife to "just pull into wherever you want to stay" on one of our breaks earlier in the day as we were on motorcycles and do not use radios. The staff were good, the room was... More

Room was clean -including the bathroom. Front desk staff was less than professional as they were busy chatting with railroad workers who were staying there and didn't really have much time for checking us in or out the next morning - by then they were busy trying to figure out who was going to clean which room etc. The ventilation... Stayed here 2 times now in 2009 and 2010 etc. Excellent place to stay when traveling through the mountains. Considering how small Blue River is and the location, this place is nice and modern, very clean and with a hot tub too. Forget the other places. This one is on par with hotels anywhere for the price. I like the... More

The Lodge is a nice little place. It looks like a motel and it is pretty basic, but it's comfortable and clean. It's within a short walk of a liqour store and The Saddle restaurant (which I recommend). In the morning there was no hot water as the boiler had gone out. It was fixed immediately, great service. Breakfast is... More

We stayed at both Mountaineer Lodge and Palliser Lodge this weekend and had a great time. Mountaineer lodge was very well kept and clean; really enjoyed the added touch of the flavoured water station at the main check-in desk. We look forward to coming back in the Ski Season.

This town was an odd, quirky stop on the way from Jasper back to Vancouver. Town is literally in the middle of nowhere. This hotel is simple and quite a contrast to the Fairmounts in Banff and Lake Louise; the website says it is “European Boutique Style Lodge” which is quite a stretch. We booked a balcony which meant we... More

After an amazing trip at the River Safari we were too tired to continue our travels and decided to stay at the Glacier Mountain Lodge, It was far more than we expected!

We were travelling between Vancouver Island and Edmonton and looking for a place somewhere in between. We had originally planned to stay in Clearwater, but a search showed limited decent accommodations. Blue River was only an hour further and this hotel seemed to have good ratings so we stopped here. It is similar to a Best Western in terms of... More

We have stayed at Glacier Mountain Lodge twice now, as it puts you about 4-5 hours from Jasper, making it an ideal overnight stop. The rooms are basic but clean and absolutely fine, and the breakfast is a nice self-service buffet, with cereal, porridge, bagels, bread, coffee, etc. The only downsides as far as we are concerned is that there... We've been staying at the Glacier Mountain Lodge fairly regularly since it opened; as we live in Edmonton, Alberta, Blue River is exactly half-way between our home and Vancouver, where we have friends and family. The Lodge is excellently run by personable folks, and it is always a pleasure to be there. Highly recommended! (I just picked an arbitrary date... More
