This 'motel' has the distinction of being the worst place I have ever stayed. Rooms were shabby and dark. Window painted shut, bed felt like a slab of stone and the continental breakfast was some toast and cheap cereal. I had the unfortunate opportunity to spend what could have been a charming, romantic, rural NS wedding in this dump. Expensive... More

We had to stay here 2 nights for a wedding. When we pulled up to our room, I said "this is where you come to get murdered" We shared a room with another couple to keep the cost lower, the room was so small. We could have reached out and touched each other laying the side by side beds. The... More

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. There was BLACK MOLD in the washroom. They are tiny rooms with gapes in the windows. Rude people at the front desk not helpful at all. it was terrible! More

Due to a booking problem with our chosen B&B we had to stay at the Econo Lodge Which was very expensive for what it provided . The room was quite small and the bathroom very old. Breakfast very basic. Nice swimming pool which we never had to share. More

For the price we expected more. We stayed in a room that was in a strip behind the front of the motel. Outside appearances were shabby: indoor/outdoor carpeting that covered the step was moldy and placed over chipped and cracked cement steps. The place needs alot of TLC. When we opened the door it was freezing inside (October) and dark... More

This Econo Lodge is a bit more expensive than the average motel in this chain but is also better than average. The room looked nice and quite new. It had a coffee maker and -nice detail- 2 packs of cookies. Also had ceramic mugs for the coffee and various glasses to use in the room. It looked much better than... More

The staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. They also have connecting rooms. I would recommend this hotel. More

My father and I stayed here with our bulldog on our way up to the Cabot Trail. It isn't the ritz, it's a roadside motel. But everything was clean, the building was quiet at night, everything in the room worked and the rate was reasonable. Check in/out were hassle free and the staff were night. The continental breakfast was a... More

Spent two nights with a friend before and after the Cabot Trail. We had my dog with us he was welcomed. Rooms were clean, bright and had many amenities. Beds were comfortable. Hotel was a short drive to shopping (picking up batteries, etc., at local Shoppers Drug Mart.) Hotel staff extremely friendly. It seems that owners also own motel across... More

Basic accommodations in a convenient location, near the Canso causeway. Rooms are small, but sufficient for a night's stay. No restaurant on premises, but the Hearthstone Inn across the street has a restaurant (with slow service). Lobby staff seems pleasant enough, continental breakfast nothing special. Can't comment on indoor pool, as it was closed for repairs (the pool was a... More
