Stayed here in march, is basic but clean. The staff are very friendly in both the motel and attached restaurant. Their whale watching trip was fantastic, right up close to grey whales and their calves. Spanish speaking is not essential but helpful.

A nice clean little place which seem to attract freindly people, with welcoming staff. The rooms are clean and comfy, have good wifi and a good shower with hot water. The parking is safe and the restaurant attached has good food. A perfect stop on our way south..

Large clean rooms. Room had two queen beds and a loft that slept four. The television worked well and had many channel options. Shower was nice and hot. Restaurant and bar were good too. Wi-Fi access worked well. Get the seafood soup at the restaurant! Good value. There is also a gift shop with many shirts and souvenirs.

The room was fine, comfortable, and everything worked. After a very long drive from Ensenada it was nice to have motel and restaurant co-located and convenient. We left a jacket in the room when we left, which they had set aside and waiting for us when we returned 4 days later; nice touch, and consistent with their attentive service.

Getting to the point quick. This is good basic lodging. It is clean, affordable, and has hot water. Lodging in Baja can sometimes be inconsistent. Malarrimo is very consistent. There is a motel missing from the review list for Guerrero Negro and that motel is the Cowboy Motel which as you come in to town from Highway 1 is 1 block on the left side of the street before Malarrimo. The motel is very nice with plants everywhere and a pleasant little maze of rooms with walkways in between. Not extremely fancy but quite nice.
