Everybody in La Casa en el Bosque went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Our cabin was spacious, quiet, surrounded by flowering plants and with a marvelous view of the town. I stayed at La Casa de los Arboles over Day of the Dead in 2008 and was the eco lodge's first guest. Although I had thought I wanted to be in town, it was actually far nicer to stay in the real countryside and to stroll or catch a collectivo into town whenever I wanted.
