We stayed 5 nights and it was an ideal location for day trips. We had a rental car but the local collectivo picked up just down the driveway by the dive shop. Very close to beaches, Tulum, and Xel-Ha but not walking distance. There is a cenote and swimming pool right at the lodge and larger cenotes down the road.... More

I stayed here for a week in April 2013. This was place was a welcome sanctuary. Located in the middle of the jungle, it is very quiet and peaceful. It is far enough from the highway that you don't hear anything. It's about a 15 minute drive from Tulum. Also it is very close to some amazing cenotes (great for... More

I only really write reviews if something is super bad or really special. I thought Dos Ojos Lodge was a unique special place that deserves a mention. We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way from Playa del Carmen through to Valladolid. Suzan and Dan were the most wonderful warm-hearted hosts and will ensured we got the... More

If you are looking for a place to get away from the hustle and bustle in the Riviera Maya, Dos Ojos Jungle Lodge may be what you are looking for. The lodge is about 15 minutes north of Tulum and just a short distance off the highway, but it is isolated, with nothing else within walking distance. But there is... More

Dos Ojos Lodge is a lovely little lodge halfway between Tulum and Akumal. The owners Dan and Suzan are so friendly and helpful, we felt like we were visiting friends rather than staying at a lodge. Rooms are comfortableand clean, and there are lots of fun activities nearby. We chose not to rent a car and had no problem getting... More

Just stay here if you want to enjoy the quietness of Riveria Maya. If you have you're own transportation this place is perfect. Just a 15 minute drive to Tulum Pueblo and another five to the Southern Beaches. Suzan and Dan are the owners who recently renovated the place and it is just lovely. It even has its own wet/dry... If you are looking for the real Riviera Maya, check Dos Ojos Lodge (DOL). Out of the various places I stayed at during my two and a half week trip starting from the Riviera Maya in Mexico for a laid back vacation, onward to California for business last spring, this was my favorite. A welcoming oasis in the midst of a... More

I was in Mexico February 2011 to perform a cave diving course with the dos ojos dive shop. I needed a place to stay in the area and this was/is the best option by far, especially if you have your own transportation. The rooms are clean and cleaned daily. Most importantly they are cleaned well. All of the amenities, though... More

Great location at Dos Ojos, Nice Friendly Owners, New clean rooms, Restaurant near by. Away from the crowds and still only a short drive to Tulum or Akumal. We found Dos Ojos Lodge by accident while diving near by. I can't wait to go back.

My wife and I stayed at the lodge eight days. The owners are starting the hotel business in the right track. The rooms are spacious, the bed was comfortable and breakfast was good, in particular the smoothies and the coffee. It was very quiet at night since the lodge is between Akumal and Tulum in the jungle side. You do... More
