Cute hotel not quite ocean front with a good staff. Smiling Hanna at the front desk was a standout. The rooms are newish, clean and well designed. We stayed there for 2 nights. Never had hot water...not even tepid. The "included" breakfast was a loaf of white bread and a toaster, bad coffee. On line info says they take Visa.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mahahual, thanks to the gracious hosts at El Hotelito. Mateo and his staff were warm immediately when we arrived and wanted to help us in any way they could. Diving? Mateo's local contact, a biologist, doubles as a divemaster. We were introduced later that day and enjoyed personalized diving in the beautiful reef waters... More

Location: on the Malecon, at its very quiet end, far from shops and bars and music. Size: small and tiny, with rooms at first, second and third floor. Rooms: different in shape, size, and comfort, but all with fan and AC, fresh bottles of water, toiletries in the bathroom, and a lot of towels and beach towels every day. Service:... More

My lasting impression of El Hotletito is that the beds were luxiourisouly comfortable! It's a clean and well managed establishment and it deserves all the stars it gets. The hotel manager was always avaliable for recommendations and questions about the area. It was nice to come back to homey room after a long day of scuba diving or beaching and... More

A very friendly place with good rooms and great service. Special thanks to Hanna and Ivan, who helped me out with some travel-related issues. A word of advice though: The ATMs in Mahahual are highly unreliable at best, sometimes they are down for several days. Since credit cards are not widely accepted, be sure to bring lots of cash. And... More

We have a few days left so we are not done staying here but I think 12 days gives us a good feeling on this Hotel. We could have been treated better. Matteo, the owner is very friendly and his family have been here and we have enjoyed the whole family. I told them it was my wife's birthday and... More

Very nice rooms, good quality amenities, a very good host (Matteo) that gives very useful advice to visitors. A very good restaurant right nearby (especially lobster and beef). The perfect place to start trips to Punta Herrera in the North and Xcalak to the South.

We came to Mahahual for a couple of nights and somehow got to El Hotelito while driving thru the town. We booked us a standard room and instantly felt comfortable. The room was nice and very clean (it comes with a continental breakfast, tv and wifi included), but in the early morning hours a bit too bright (no darkening curtains).... More

We came here in off season and the hotel was really quiet, but it has a good location in Mahahual down the south end. The owner was also very helpful and upgraded us to a suite, which was very kind. The room was beautiful and extremely clean. The view from the balcony was amazing. The breakfast was off the toast... More
