An old hotel that would have been quite grand. I wouldnt want to eat here but breakfast was ok. The bed covers and blankets could do with replacing and the bathroom was shoddy. Fine for a one night stop over. More

Stayed at this hotel on a buisness trip.On check in I was greeted with an empty reception desk and after ringing the bell several times I could hear swearing in the office .A girl no older than 16 came to the desk to check me in and there was no reservation for me, luckily there were still rooms available.I was... I booked a one night stay three months in advance, I never did get the confirmation I requested, reason being they didn't make the booking. There were rooms available and at a better rate than I had been quoted. The hotel creaks and groans in a way that shows its age. The rooms were a bit worn, the TV so... More

I went here for lunch with a friend, a Groupon offer, two courses and coffee for £5.50 each. The actual hotel price is only £5.95 for two courses. There seemed to be only one person on reception and in the dining room but she was very helpful and efficient. The restaurant was pleasant and the lunch good for the price. More

I will never ever go back! This place is run by kids. I asked to speak to the "manager" during my stay and could not believe that the clueless 20 year old women that confronted me was actually the manager. the staff In this hotel don't know there lefts from their rights. The food was undercooked, cold and tasteless. The... More

This is a terrible hotel. My room was right on top of the train station. I could hear the trains and announcements all night. While I was staying there was a 'traveller' group in the hotel who attempted to break into my room. They succeeded in breaking into other rooms which were empty or had people in them. They stole... Contrary to some of the reviews made by other members, I went to this hotel open minded and I have to say overall it was a particularly pleasant place to stay. Arrival was fast and efficient, however I did call earlier in the day prior to checking in to check about room allocation and found that they had no record... More
