I stayed 1 night in the Hotel and would recommend it. Lovely comfortable rooms, nice little bar downstairs and a proper english brekkie. Beats the travelodge and premier inn by a mile. As a business traveler, all you need is a few beers, relaxing bar, good pub grub, uninterrupted sleep and a good ol' breakfast to start you day. This... More

My wife and I stayed at the Boars Head following a birthday party in the function room upstairs. Really impressed with the room on offer, looked as if recently refurbished and the en suite shower room was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful and with the cooked breakfast included we considered it to be well worth the cost... More

My husband and I stayed at the Boar's Head over the Easter weekend. We visit friends that live in Middlewich quite a bit, and this was our first time saying at the hotel. The rooms were lovely, the shower (which I'm very picky about) was great, the staff were really friendly, and the cooked breakfast was the best one my... More

Great room, just what you would need for a business stay. Bathroom was excellent, large and refurbished very smartly. No noise from the pub downstairs on a busy Thursday night (the football was being show). The pub was obviously a well-used local, but you might want to find somewhere more relaxing / cosmopolitan to go for a drink. However, I... More

Have stayed here a couple of times on business. The rooms are clean and have the usual facilities you would expect. It's very much a local pub with rooms. The bar has allways been very lively in the evenings with a good atmosphere. Haven't eaten in the evenings but the full english in the morning is not for the faint... More

Girlfriend booked us in here for a night bed and breakfast for £55 , on walking in through front doors we thought just going to be your ordinary run of the b&b. When accompanied to the bedrooms upstairs we were amazed at the size of the place.....when let in the bedroom what a pleasant surprise, the rooms are ultra modern... More

Stayed here for one night on the 16th feb 2013. I do agree that as you enter the hotel the entrance is a little dated however we were very impressed with our room, it was immaculate and very modern! The staff and the owners made us feel very welcome, the service and breakfast we received was fantastic!! We would certainly... More

My 2nd stay at this hotel now and left with the same view as previous stay. Firstly its situated at a busy junction and the windows dont cut out the sounmd of the many passing lorries. My room was directly above the kitchens and pool room so i heard band practise upto 9pm then the music from the jukebox to... More

Was a bit alarmed on our arrival as the public area was very tired and dingy. However the rooms were clean and bathroom excellent. There was no food evening food available, ' as there were no staff' and we were not informed of this on our arrival earlier in the day. Breakfast was well cooked although served on cold plates... The staff were very welcoming and the room and bathroom exceeded our expectations for a pub. We ate well at the hotel next door and then toasted ourselves in front of the fire and enjoying excellent ale and eavesdropping on the locals who were deeply engaged in putting the world to rights. Very handy for walking along the Trent and... More
