22nd March 2013 will allways be remembered by us, a weekend away for my birthday to the Lake District was halted by massive snowdrifts which resulted in us been rescued from the A565 by Mountain Rescue and taken to Millom Rescue Centre. We stayed at nearby Foxcroft B&B for the next 2 nights until we could get home. What a... More

Stayed for 2 nights at Foxcroft. I have always stayed in hotels but my girlfriend stated that b and b is better value for money. This was certainly the case for Foxcroft. Clean spacious rooms. Great breakfasts and very friendly owners who make you feel welcome. Anyone who writes anything negative about this place are just nit picking!

Can't rate them highly enough, Malcolm and Shirley are such wonderful hosts. Malcolm seemed to genuinely enjoy our company and spent so much time chatting with us and showing us around the house and garden and sharing local stories and anecdotes. It was so relaxing and we felt so at home. Absolutely no complaints at all, I cant even think... More

Owned by a lovely couple. Very peaceful and beautiful house. I think you would struggle without a car as most places (including restaurants) are a drive away. We stayed 4 nights and found plenty to do. Would go back again :-)

Not my first time at Foxcroft, and the next visit was booked as I checked out. Malcolm and Shirley are great hosts and everything you could need for a comfortable stay is on hand. Bedrooms big and comfortable, and breakfasts good and plentiful. I was travelling on my own and was very well looked after. See you again soon.

We stayed for 5 nights and couldn't fault anything! The rooms are large with a five foot double bed, chairs and coffee table. two sets of drawers and a walk-wardrobe! The bathroom is large and well fitted out. the drive up to the house is breath-taking at this time of year. . . .the rhododendrums line the drive. Breakfats were... More

We stayed here for a long weekend. A great place to stay and great loction for touring the area. We wanted some where quiet and this was the place. The grounds are spacious and well kept, nice and quiet no hustle and bustle like a B&B in a town. The room was very clean and tidy, comfy, spacious and provided... More
