What a beautiful setting. The perfect place if you are wanting to escape the hustle n bustle. Lovely landscaped surrounds and nice little huts with an upstairs loft. If you are scared of giant spiders, don't come here! They are harmless but about the size of a serving platter! The pools are nice and the beach is just a short... More

I stayed here as the beach house was full. I was assured that this was equally as good, but I would have to question that. I found it a bit dirty, with an overpriced restaurant, no real communal area to meet people. I would stay at PK's or the Beach House instead!

this is a great location but the hotel has been left to decay and needs renovating. our room was great but needed decorating. Pool was lovely especially as you cannot swim in the sea in stinger season. looks like the hotel was being closed 3 weeks after we left. What a shame!!

The Resort was closed on 30 Nov 2012 for renovation and is under new ownership. It will be reopening in May 2013 and offer a great experience to guests in this magnificent location. Stayed here just one night when we went to the daintree rainforest on an excursioon but it was lovely. The resort had 2 pools and a restaurant and the accommodation was small air conditioned huts. We were only 10 minutes walk to the nearest pub...but make sure you take a torch as at night there are no street lights!

This is such a beautiful location, close to restaurants, stores and actvities like the great Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours and night Walks. The cottage set up on the grounds is ideal and watching the fruit bats was an added bonus. However, there were many times over our 2 night stay that we had no water, even in the main lodge.... More

We ended up in Ferntree as part of a 2-day Jungle Tours adventure called Cape Trib Go Wild. The price of the double room was impressive and we expected a great lodge. This was the case. Very spacious with wide windows making us feel like staying in the rain forest, the room had AC and ceiling fan, a fridge, a... More

Reception staff were rude and abrupt, and I definately didn’t feel valued as a guest, for example they tried to sell us their most expensive double rooms at $140 and $160 per night, only when I enquired about the so called “hostel rooms” were they offered to me, these were priced at $98 per night!! The hostel double rooms were... More

While the resort claims to be 3 stars, the hostel part is 2 (generous) and the service 1. We had no remote control for the air conditioning and we were not able to turn it off on the first night, so we had to sleep with 3 blankets. We had to ask twice the following day for someone to come... More

The dirtiest kitchen I've ever seen in a hostel with broken chairs in the common room, this place does not look after backpackers at all well, (obviously aiming to look after its higher paying guests as a priority) No utensils provided, you have to hire cutlery and crockery. Looks very run down. .
