We genuinely LOVED this place. It's the greatest bed and breakfast that we have ever experienced. This is as close to the rainforest you can get in the area. They have a resident cassowary that came by and enjoyed breakfast with us every morning. It started raining in the middle of the night and the sound of the rain on... More

WOW! This place is unique and amazing- I am sure that nothing else like it exists anywhere. It is a little "rustic" but if you can handle that part then you are in for a terriffic treat! Sort of hard to describe this place- I don't even want to try. If you are a fan of artistic endeavors, you love... More

We stayed for 4 nights in March 2012 and used the B&B as a base for exploring the Daintree. What a great place! Coming from a very urban environment, it took a little while to get used to the local wildlife, but Julie, our host since Rob was away, was fantastic at setting us at ease. The cabins are very... We stayed as guests of Rob for one night during our three day tour of the Daintree. He was lovely to talk to and to hear all about the fantastic artwork that he's made which is placed throughout his garden. This place is not your normal boring B&B or hotel style accommodation. It's rustic and handmade, and with all the... More

We booked cabin 1092 principally because of the outside bathroom; we loved using a similar outside bathroom when we were in the Maldives. I happened to wake up at about 5 a.m. and when I went outside the dawn chorus was absolutely amazing. When we arrived in the morning to drop off our suitcases we were greeted by a young... More

the rainforest hideway is not a place for everyone, but it was perfect for us. imagine a somewhat rustic, yet clean and comfortable private cabin carved out of the rainforest and you may get an idea what it is like. despite the fact that you are in a jungle with ornamental pools and gardens all over the property, there were... The Rainforest Hideaway is an an incredible experience, I felt totally at one with nature. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable. Rob, the owner, is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, plus the wildlife. I am so glad I stayed there and will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I had a long stay at the Rainforest Hideaway and experienced nothing but excellence and satisfaction from our stay. The rooms are unique and have great character and provide a nice taste of a holiday in the rainforest. The rooms are spotless and the breakfast includes a nice spread of food, including exotic fruit from the area.... More

Love Cape Tribulation the area itself just the accomodation the worst. We didn't ending up staying at the "resort" as when we arrived it was quite different to what was on the web site - very run down and in a word, weird. Was rather uncomfortable feeling. Found lovely accomodation just down the road cheaper and friendlier and cleaner.

If this review had some fair criticism I would not have bothered responding but after check-n this family found friends staying elsewhere in town, and due to a communication error these people had already arranged accommodation for them too. When they decided it would be more fun to stay all together they wanted a full refund from me and when... More

We stayed two nights and loved the friendly hippie hosts who werelooking after the business since the owner was on holiday. They did a great job making us feel welcome. We loved the sculptures and enjoyed the Eco life - ie low electricity use and outdoor bathroom (was novel). Higher water pressure would have been nice but the breakfast was... More
