There's almost certainly plenty of good accommodation in Yungaburra - which is certainly an excellent place to base yourself for the Atherton Tablelands - but I don't think you can do much better than Williams Lodge. We stayed in one of the more 'modest' rooms on offer but it was stylish, comfortable, quiet and very well-appointed.

We had a lovely, clean, large room with a comfy King bed with high quality linens, and a nice sitting area, plus a breakfast area. The bath was nice and had both a spa and a great shower, plus huge, fluffy towels. Bathrobes were also provided. Our room opened to a large verandah which surrounded the restored and very well-maintained... More

Beautifully renovated in keeping with the old Queenslander style. Large room with doors opening out on to the garden. Everything you would want from a B&B. Loved the history of the Williams family, went to the local Pub for tea and also enjoyed the history of that old place.

We loved the Williams Lodge. We planned to stay 5 nights but stayed longer. It is a beautiful and historic property, recently renovated, and well maintained by the Williams Family. We traveled there in November. We had a large and nicely furnished suite with light and views. The simple breakfast delivered to us each morning was just what we wanted:... More

This is a dream place to stay. Built by Yungaburra's founding family in the early 1900s in the traditional style. The house has been completely renovated top to bottom and is as luxurious as any five star hotel but much more homely. It is owned and run by Peter Williams and his wife Lyn. Peter is the grandson of the... More

We hadn't prebooked anywhere in the Atherton Tablelands, so looked at a few brochures in the friendly Yungaburra information centre. Glad we chose Williams Lodge, where we had a restful 3-night stay. We had a comfortable, spacious and clean room (that was just a standard room- you could get an upgraded one if you paid more) and found the owners... More

Williams Lodge is lovely Queenslander with guest rooms on the lower level. The room was larger and very nicely appointed with period furniture. it opened out onto a beautiful property that includes a very nice pool. However, the owner was not particularly welcoming or forthcoming with information about the property or the village. He answered questions but did not seem... More

This place is an absolute little gem, along with friends we took the three rooms on the ground floor. Our room was beautiful a fully furnished apartment. french doors onto the patio outside over looking the valley. A small town based on restaurants with Platypus swimming in the river nearby. The french restaurant is a must, better than the meals... More

Before writing this review, we have noted that Williams Lodge is only ranked 5 out of 5 in Yungaburra because previously there had been no reviews. We will check shortly to see if we have "lifted it up the table" We only stayed here for one night as we were heading south down towards Townsville, but really wish we had... More
