The rooms are good , with all basic amenities provided. Room service is also very godd compare to the location . but the bar is veru sub standard and the Resturant shuts down after 2200 hrs. Good place to stay , Reasonable tariffs.

Hotel Orchid is a nice and cheap hotel. The rooms are average, but the fact that some rooms are situated underground makes for an unique experience for first-timers to this region. The polished bamboo walls look good, but could have been better-maintained. The food isn't bad either. But the highlight of this place is the excellent bar!

Hotel Orchid,maintained by Meghalaya Tourism,is one of the best budget hotels with all the amenities a short stay in Shillong,its little bit away from the crowded Police Bazar for a quite and breezy wind all around the evening. I recommend budget travelers to chose this hotel to make their stay in Shillong a memorable one.
