Where do I start? Outside of the hotel showed neglect, windows falling apart, rotting wood etc. Parts of the plaster screed had fallen off hmmm! Inside the room was worse. Wonderful Location and very impressive from the outside. The staff in the most were helpful and friendly. The rooms are a great size and are clean and comfortable.. Spent a week at the Rose and Crown on vacation. The room was a tad bit dated, but extremely clean and comfortable. The four poster bed was nice and the room spacious but the decor was very very dated, the carpet and curtains really do need replacing, the shower broke/wasn't working in the morning when it mattered most for a wedding occassion, the location was good with several restaurants within walking distance - we had a lovely meal at Prezzo!
