The Red Lion is a hotel with real character and history in a lovely village. Bedroom was somewhat tired but represented excellent value, bed comfortable and room spotlessly clean and Lynden and Judy are superb hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Evening meal was very good with plenty of choice, accompanied by £10 bottle of wine and breakfast of... More

Brilliant weekend in May, this Pub was a former HP Bulmer Cider House, and back in the 1970's I was an employee of Bulmers and Dent and Reuss, Bulmers Wine and Spirit Division. The Red Lion was used as Bulmers corporate Hospitality House, and Flag Ship Cider House 1 of 6. We decided to meet friends Jill and Jonathon here in... More

An absolutely lovely pub /restaurant/ hotel -the kind that locals from 10 miles away come to eat at.The situation is well nigh perfect (featuring in a '30s"Come to Herefordshire" commercial railway ad).The owner /manager is the perfect host ;the food glorious and varied and the local Ales from Wye Valley Brewery perfectly kept .The food was superb and carefully cooked... Stayed here at part of Lands End to John O Groats trip. Loved the place. Great food, lovely bar area and hosts even did out laundry! Thanks for a great stay.

Frank & Clare (& Buster the Lab) were very friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. The room was large & well appointed with very nice decor. We had our evening meal there as well and the food was excellent. The breakfast the following morning was lovely..... Quote from my Husband..."That's probably the most filling breakfast I have ever... More

We made a return trip to Weobley having stayed in the attached cottage to this Hotel two years ago, we decided to lay a ghost to rest. Our previous stay was under the old management and I need say no more about that, judging by reviews made during that time. What I wanted you all to know is that the... More

Having discovered the Red Lion by chance in June (when looking for somewhere to lunch in Weobley) we were so impressed by the warm welcome and superb food that we decided to book an extended weekend stay in August. The Red Lion has a great ambience and the owners Clare and Frank are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much... More

This visit was very much last minute, we found ourselves in the village and decided to stay! Unfortunately, there was a private dinner and so no evening meal, but the owner did offer us a steak if we would rather stay there than venture out. In hindsight, we should have, as we had a disastrous experience at the restaurant down... More
