What a beautiful place, stunning sea views, comfortable rooms and superb food. I should also say that with this level of quality the prices are value for money. I shall return soon.

This hotel has a wonderful location: facing the English Channel and adjacent to golf links. The owners made us feel very welcome. Our room had a very large bathroom, with bath in one room and shower plus toilet in their own separate area, off the main bathroom. The bedroom was comfortable and tastefully furnished. The restaurant, although not cheap, was... More

We visited in late July for a family celebration and stayed for 3 nights. We had a standard double room and were on the top floor in a dual aspect room overlooking the sea and the golf course. Our room was comfortable enough and tastfully decorated, although the bed was a little hard for my taste and the ensuite shower... More

Delighted that you enjoyed the family dinner celebration. Unfortunately if problems are not bought to our attention at the time of staying, regrettably it leaves us at a disadvantage in being unable to correct the issue, in this case broken hangers. We make quite clear on our written confirmation how we operate with regard to the front door & if... More

On arriving at this hotel we were greeted with a cool reception by the hostess, although the host was slightly more welcoming offering to take our bags up to our room. As the owners do not allow guests the key to the front door, you have to ring the door bell every time you want to come in, even if... More

To refer to this accommodation as "Fawlty Towers" would be unfair and extreme, but the “Tea Rooms Closed” sign swinging forlornly in the wind as we arrived seemed to be some kind of portent. The place is run with a certain cold efficiency and we found it to be clean and quiet; the room being comfortable if somewhat small. Plenty... More

We regret that your stay did not live up to your expectations. Unfortunately this obviously wasn't the place for you. We put as much information in the written confirmation as possible with regard to dining arrangements & that we do not issue front door keys. We can't appeal to everyone & it would be impossilbe to try & do so. More

Excellence service and food (and this is from someone VERY fussy). It is a quick journey from busy London life and as soon as you get there you can relax. The sea views from the rooms are amazing and add to the tranquility. A great hide away that has never failed to impress. You can book all 10 rooms for... More

This place was recommended by my sister, who had in turn been told about it by a friend. It is a charming little, slightly eccentric hotel on a stretch of wind-swept shingle beach not far from the nuclear power station at Dungeness. For those who like this sort of thing, it is absolutely perfect (I'm not being sarcastic). Also really... More

Everything about this place is a delight. Only minus, if you have it, is dinner - fancy London restaurant-style food, well prepared and presented, but over-elaborate so that the fixed price (about £45 pp excl. drinks) is really quite off putting. But the kitchen quality shows in the tasty breakfast.

We stayed at the RBHH on a wet and windy Friday night in February. A large party had left the hotel that morning. Their Friday evening occupancy led, inevitably, to a reduced level of weekend booking so we shared the hotel with just one other couple and with the proprietors. This made for a slightly strange social atmosphere but also... More

we stayed here in october 2002, my boyfriend booked it for a anniversary weekend. we had a wonderful time, the breakfasts were really goodl. it is a very cosy and relaxed hotel, the dog walks around the breakfast conservatory, which was unfortunate for my boyfriend who is allergic to animal hair!!! the rooms are beautifully decorated, very country charm, almost...
