The room was freezing with rattling and broken windows, the mattress smelt of almonds (bedbug infestation), you could hear the neighbours shagging, and you will get bitten. The 'breakfast' was truly revolting, slices of cheap cheese, hard boiled eggs and pork luncheon meat from aldi? What planet are they on?

As they say, appearances on the web can be very deceiving. Although the host was very polite and helpful, I wish I had asked to see the room before paying. The list of complaints is endless but mainly - TV didn't work, Wash basin was cracked and hanging half off the wall, the shower was tied up with string, the... More

We stayed for 2 night, very good value, reception staff are polite. Room was clean and a very central location.

Booked online to stay at this hell hole, had to pay upfront (wish we hadn't have done), our twin room was filthy, the door didn't lock so had to block the door shut with our bags, (glad my daughter bought everything bar her kitchen sink), beds were broken, was left to find our own way to the room. Toe nail... More

Stayed in October 2011 - £55 for 2 nights sharing a twin room B&B in a party of 10. Initially concerned due to the other reviews on here - but although the place is VERY shabby it wasn't dirty as such. Standard is equivalent to a ratty youth hostel rather than any form of hotel - but the staff were... More

Let's be clear, this place isn't the ritz but the staff were friendly, breakfast was good and the rooms were fine. The Rooms were clean, warm and the beds were comfortable. It is also really close to the town centre, bars, restaurants and galleries. if you're looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful (cost us £550 fro 10 people for 2... More

I am a contractor who works all around the country, I am not fussy, as you get to see all sorts as you travel around trying to get accommodation at a reasonable rate. However I can concur with all the previous comments, if you read these reviews and then still decide to stay, then do not be surprised when you... More

Booked a night in this dump,as we where watching the Open golf nearby in Sandwich. We turned up mid evening to be told to pay up front £70. After payment we were shown our room which reminded me of one of those cells on banged up abroad! We left after 5 minutes! PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE keep away from this place!

How they have the audacity to call themselves a hotel is beyond comprehension. I have stayed at rough-and-ready hostels throughout the world, including India and Morocco and the Pavilion View Hotel was far far worse than anything I have experienced before. The room was filthy, the window was cracked, there were stains on all the sheets and towels, the carpet... More
