Hubby and I stayed overnight here on the night of our daughters wedding. This was our second visit having got married here ourselves some 7 years ago. We booked as an anniversary and birthday celebration. The rooms were lovely. Modern amenities with an old fashioned feel. Only small gripe was that they didn't accept American Express.
That's because it is usually very good! We've been many times so best to mention my overall thoughts on the place, rather than just the last visit.
We've stayed over a few times as well and it should be noted that a weekend stay can sometimes be booked up for around a year in advance.

The ugly .. not going to be British for a change ... no ugly bits !!

The Whitewell experience starts as early as the drive through Bowland. Gliding along sylvan glades you suddenly encounter this wonderful vision of the old church with the picturesque hotel adjacent to it. I live about 30-40 mins away from the inn at whitewell and have been here to eat on many occasions and the food both in the bar area and the dining room has always been gorgeous. Love taking people here for a treat on a special occasion as it really does have a unique feel about it - so much...
