we stayed here for a couple of nights when attending a friend's wedding in Robin Hoods Bay. The room was clean and the bed v.comfortable. THe owners were friendly and not intrusive. The breakfast was lovely. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and (without asking) they put a booster seat out for us and gave her a... More

As a retired couple we stayed here for 3 nights to meet up with friends who we hadn't seen for several years. Angelique and her staff made us very welcome in this fascinating building dating back to the 1600s. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable and clean with good quality linens. Our bathroom wasn't ensuite but we... More

Amazing building and location, very comfortable bed, friendly and helpful owners and nice breakfast (limited choice, but very good quality ingredients inc home made jam). The only very slight downsides were that our 'private' bathroom wasn't private as is was being used by other guests and the room lacked one item that we would have liked and which (per the provided... Really nice stay in a beautiful old building. The gardens and accommodation are second to none. Highly recommended for those wanting a stay in a historic and quirky place with an old style luxurious feel... The local pub is not bad too!!!!

We only stayed one night in this beautiful house and are planning a return visit very soon. The rooms are comfortable and very nicely decorated with lovely old mullioned windows. The owners are helpful, welcoming and friendly. It felt like we were guests in their home rather than paying clients. We are definitely going back for a longer stay

It was a privilege to stay in such a lovely house with such history. Our bed was very comfortable and we had good night's sleep. Angelique was very helpful and cooked a lovely breakfast with home made jams and marmalade. Would recommend it for anyone who wants a b & b with character and very good service.

We just returned from a trip based at Thorpe hall. It was as good as the website suggested, really interesting building, hosts Angelique and David welcoming and fun, full of good local knowledge. I liked the location, walking distance from Robin Hoods Bay, but being up the hill felt airy with superb views and lovely gardens. As a guest you... More

I recently booked 4 bedrooms for a group trip at the beginning of March. In the lead up to our trip Angelique the owner, was incredibly helpful in discussing bedroom options. On arrival the house was beautiful and in a lovely setting. The house is a walk from Robinhoods bay centre and seafront. Angelique was incredibly welcoming and accommodating and... More
