This place is ideal to explore the castle and gardens. Park your car at the rear of the hotel and forget it for a couple of days. Rooms clean and big, staff lovely. In the town centre ( if Alnwick has a town centre !) there is plenty to do , Market ,museums Alfreco cafes and one off shops. More

We received excellent service, we too only stayed for lunch but the manager and staff could not do enough for us. We had a bar meal but it was a good portion and very nice. We were given a great welcome by the staff although we were not staying at the hotel. Table ready for us (eight people) and asked what we required immediately. Food excellent, well presented, hot and fresh. The staff and manager could not do enough for us. Excellently priced. No complaints whatsoever. Unfortunately cannot comment on rooms. More

I stayed at this hotel with my partner for a weekend treat. We thought the accommodation beautiful, bed most comfortable and all areas spotlessly clean. Spent a couple of nights here at the end of May. The room was in excellent condition, it had been refurbished a couple of years early and still looked like new. The staff were friendly, the lamb roast dinner was fab...... reminded me of mum's, all in all a lovely hotel to spend some time More
