We have just got back from a short break to Holy Island and Alnwick, where we stayed for the final night at the Prudhoe Croft. Overall it was a well above average B & B. Having read the fantastic review Prudhoe Croft has been given, I thought it sounded ideal. Somewhere friendly, and clean. Myself and a friend are due in Alnwick for a wedding, and wanted to book this B&B. Unfortunately, the gentleman who answered the phone was nothing short of rude. We found this B and B via the VisitAlnwick website where it shows accomodation with gradings. This guest house has won a silver award and I can quite see why. The owner Liz was welcoming without being pushy, always happy to give advice and leaflets on places to visit. The house was beautiful..(a Georgian townhouse I think) with clean welcoming... More
