It was rather difficult to find the hotel at first sight; located in an industrial area this is rather not a quite place (traffic all around the hotel). Breakfast opens at 7.00am only and staff is strictly not flexible on this; check-out last more than 20mn as only one staff was in charge and did not want to receive support... More

Dear AC_BCN, Thank you for reviewing our hotel following your recent stay with us. I was disappointed to read that there were some aspects of your stay which you were not happy with; for these disappointments I offer my sincere apologies. The hotel's AA score increased this year taking us to 3* 77%, a particular comment was the friendliness and... More

I stayed there to attend two meetings, one in Harwell and one in Oxford. This hotel is conveniently located near the highway exit between the two cities. However, Oxford is a not close, particularly during rush hour. The hotel itself feels more like a motel than a hotel. Having said that, it does have a nice bar and restaurant. Staff... More

Stayed for just one night and this is fine for a night's rest, it is not a luxury hotel but it is a clean, friendly hotel with efficient staff. Room and bathroom were reasonably modern, plenty of tea and coffee to go round. Comfortable bed. Good reception staff on arrival - booked through Late Rooms for £59 pretty good value... More

A friend and I recently spent 2 nights here and was very pleased with all aspects of our stay. Help-yourself breakfast offering a good selection of food. We dined in the bar/grill both evenings and the meals were very good and good sized portions. All staff were very friendly and helpful. More

We have just come back from staying in the four pillars and I have to say it was very good for what it is. We have stayed in a number of hotels (some very nice and some average) over the years and so we know a bit about hotels and what to expect. this is a great hotel if you... More

Just a place to stay for a short while. Breakfast was first class, the bed the smallest I ever tried to sleep in.The sign for the property is very small but that may be the rules of the local council/planners? Parking was fine, staff ok with many smiles that were artificial- what they were told to do on the training... More

This was booked on the Friday night for check-in on the Saturday for a last minute one night visit to Oxford and was booked as most places closer to Oxford were either full or way too expensive. We were expecting a Premier Inn/Travelodge type of place and that was what we got, but it gave us everything we needed and... More

I normally stay at the Premier Inn down the road, but that was full and the location of the Four Pillars Abingdon was just as good for me. The online price was in my budget for a one night business stopover. My overall impression was "adequate". My expectations were met, but no more. It is difficult to put it in... More

My partner and I stayed at the Abingdon Four Pillars after deciding to treat ourselves to a spur of the moment weekend away. We found the hotel was well positioned for our visit and was very reasonably priced. On arrival staff were efficient and welcoming and gave us some very useful information regarding visiting Oxford. Our room was a reasonable... More
