Idylic. This is a decent English pub with some excellent accommodation and the very best of personal service. You have the choice of eating in the bar or restaurant - food is excellent - and I mean excellent - in either. Dogs allowed in bar only. Have recently spent three nights at the Tollgate and it was lovely. The room (Hayloft) was really comfy and spacious and it accomodated Charlie the Spaniel too! The owners were incredibly freindly and helpful. The food was excellent and the bar very reasonable. Loads to go and see near by. Would love to go back and stay for longer next... More

Our second visit this one just as good as the last ! Food delicious ,staff really made us feel welcome , the rooms were clean tidy and well presented . We will be back again

My wife and I stayed recently for two nights at the Tollgate in Kingham and we loved every second !! the food was fantastic and the staff helpful and attentive, The Landlady was particularly friendly and made us feel really special, my wife and I will certainly be returning later in the year. Ate here while staying in Kingham in the run up to Xmas 11. Great food, and a smashing pint. The only thing which could have improved it is if the landlady could at least pretend to enjoy her job!
