I booked a meal for father's day from recommendations from TripAdvisor. This place was beautiful, lovely country feel and such beautiful flowers outside. Our meal was fantastic could not fault it, the staff were very attentive and you did not want for anything. Although it was very busy being Fathers' Day it did not feel cramped or too noisy which... Ive been here several times and the people and food are great. It has a country cottage feel very cosy and lovely garden and inside. Always have great times here meeting family and friends. It has something on the menu for everyone and log fires in the winter. The staff are always helpful and attentive.

My cousin and I took a a three week trip to the United Kingdom in March, where we visited Cambridgeshire, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Somerset. In my opinion, The Bower Inn was the best accommodations we stayed at! Candi and Peter, our hosts, are warm and friendly, simply exemplary hosts, Nick, the assistant, met us at the door when we... We stayed for 2 nights at this beautiful inn just outside the not-so-beautiful Bridgewater. Our room (3) was large, clean and had a lovely view of the garden. The furnishings were not quite to our taste - lots of cushions, furry bed covers and heavy furniture (and mirrors wherever you looked) - but that's just a matter of taste, there... More

Came here for a friends party and had a lovely night, buffet food supplied was good it was just a real shame that two dogs (presume the owners) were wandering around all night begging for food- really off putting and a great shame !

The food at the Bower Inn is fantastic; beautifully cooked, well presented and there is lots of it! The restaurant is well decorated and the staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive. The price is very reasonable and there is plenty to choose from on the menu. Can't wait to come back!

Stopped at The Bower Inn by chance as my Mum and I needed a rest break and some decent food on our return journey to Yorkshire. What a find The Bower Inn was!! Only 5 miles from Junction 24, fantastic tranquil setting for a break from the drive and absolutely stunning food .............. we both opted for the Sunday Roast... More

Stayed for one night...lovely little pub. Homely feel about it. The room was nice and decorated well. Nice breakfast. Just a one negative didn't like the fact that the 2 pub staffis were allowed in dinning room when we ate our breakfast. If your not dog lovers its not too good. I am though I have 2 myself.

My wife and I have just returned from a very enjoyable stay, to mark my birthday, at The Bower Inn. The room was clean and comfortable, food excellent. It's quite clear that Peter, the friendly owner, has put a lot of work into the business and it's paying off. The place was busy with a good ambience and pleasant customers.... More

Saw the Bower Inn in Four in a Bed and it looked very cosy. We found the Owners were really friendly and the Staff couldn't do enough for us. Stayed 2 nights and both the Restaurant and Breakfast meals were outstanding. The Room (No.5) was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Although over the Bar and within sight of... More
