We stayed here for one night. The beds are as old as the building, showers that fall off the wall when not turned on and creaking floorboards all over. We arrived late so ate in the hotel, which was a bad decision most of the menu was sold out, the steak that was on the menu was as tough as... More

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a group and found the hotel to be nice, clean and tidy. The welcome wasn't great however, as the first thing we were told, was that they thought we wouldn't be coming, even though at the time of the booking I had made it clear that we would be at Alton... More

We stayed one night as we were visiting the area for a family matter. The lady who booked us in seemed very relaxed about everything, almost unconcerned. The room was on the top floor of a beautiful cantilevered staircase. The room was OK along with the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Faded decadence sprang to mind regarding the furnishings. Our... Absolute pants! The worst hotel ever! 3 stars? Where on earth did that come from. The car park is not marked and a nightmare to find. The reception was completely unprofessional. We had three rooms booked. It must be said that the single room didn't look too bad. However, the other two double rooms made up for it - big... More

Our stay at Bank Hotel, was not all that we were led to believe, for what was advertised as Uttoxeter's No. 1 Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very acceptable. However the room and accommodation had much left to be desired, with several things that needed attention. 1. The bedside lights didn't work, and the... More

We spent one night in a four poster room which was clean and comfortable. We had quite a time trying to find the car park, and there wasn't anyone at reception when we arrived, but someone turned up eventually. It's a quirky building, handy for the town centre and not far from Alton Towers.

The property is lovely, originally an old Bank. The old features have been retained so it is like stepping back in time. Staff really nice and helpful. Breakfast was good, a full English, toast & jam, cereal endless tea, coffee and fruit juices, and it was hot and quick. There were 2 down sides unfortunately. We had booked a room... More

Arrived here after a four hour trip up, found the car park which is located behind the hotel itself, and this is how you enter the building, You go in through a patio/smoking area which has locals in yes, im sure they are lovely folk but feels a bit weird pulling luggage through them if you know what i mean.... We booked this hotel as we were attending a wedding not too far away. We didn't pay much for the room (£60?) so we weren't expecting a great deal of luxury! We found the hotel quite easily though the carpark seemed a bit of a mystery to find. We soon found the entrance to the carpark at the rear of... More
