Jane is a very friendly host that made the stay comfortable and a pleasure. Tranquil surroundings and not too far out of town. Access road a bit bumpy. The rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic, but you have access to a kitchen to help yourself (in the evenings too). I would certainly recommend Abacus.

We stayed at ABACUS while visitng our son at Sandhurst. The location is quiet and peaceful. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable. The self service breakfast worked well for us and the kitchen was spotless and well stocked. We will definately stay here again.

I stay here long term due to work commitments, i have never been to a bed and breakfast which comes anywhere near the quality that abacus has to offer..It is like home from home. The facilities are second to none and Jane who runs the bed and breakfast is very friendly and is there for anything you need at anytime.... More

What a delightful establishment. The rooms were lovely, clean, and very homely. Having frequented many B&B's I can honestly say it was a pleasure staying here, and an added bonus was the use of a very modern kitchen/diner overlooking the garden where I could cook an evening meal if I wanted.

We booked 3 rooms for a family wedding. The rooms were immaculately clean and well provided with towels. Unfortunately I missed the fact that it had shared bathrooms which was not to my liking at all. The location was lovely with great walks from outside the front door. The rooms are not soundproofed at all so you can 'hear' everything... More

The accomodation is very neat and tidy and well looked after. The rooms are spacious and are mostly on the top floor which could be a problem for older people but a room is available downstairs on request. The bathrooms are shared and although they are small they serv the purpose as they are downstairs.

Stayed here in March for 3 nights with colleagues, as on a course. Having travelled 200 miles, we received a warm welcome. The accommodation is excellent - warm, spacious, comfortable rooms, with spotlessly clean shower and toilet facilities. It was perfect for us to come and go as we pleased, making our own breakfasts and evening meals in the well... More
