Had a weekend break here. Found room dated and not that clean - dusty. Food and service poor. Would not stay again

Upon arrival we were greeted by the manager and we were made feel very welcome. She deserves her own hotel! She gave us heaps of information, advice and was just very nice. Much to like: staff, bar, large room But I wish for: a comfy bed and soap that doesn't smell like a granny. Don't pay a lot and you'll be happy - ish.

We didn't stay, but came for afternoon tea through a Buyagift deal (only £5 for two people!) When I booked I ordered vegetarian sandwiches and this was no problem at all. I don't had to pay double charge because I have booked a earlier time priod as really wanted. Thanks a lot. Rooms are fine.
