Have stayed here several times, it's only half a mile off the m25 met by a lovely friendly efficient receptionist, room big clean spacious and air con, terrace overlooking a busy road, but with window closed there is no noise. Food ok but not expensive, waiter prompt and friendly. Breakfast good,

Very nice staff, friendly and helpful. General condition of hotel, tired and some areas of hotel smelt damp and stale due to leaking roof. Food quality and choice in the evening and morning was poor with not much left of the continental breakfast. Room was large enough. Having said all of that at £85/night you get what you paid for!

Thanks for your review and I have asked Linda Darbon, General Manager at the Bridge House to investigate your comments with regard to dinner and breakfast as I am surprised and disappointed by your comments , and hope you will accept my apologies. The hotel is fully refurbished but unfortunately, acres of flat roofs need constant attention and as anyone... More

Friendly, helpful and courteous staff. A one night stay as we were attending a local social function. Very comfortable room, very clean, nicely decorated and warm. Had a balcony with extensive views of the countryside. Full cooked breakfast was good and was served by friendly staff. Unfortunately, did not have time to sample the restaurant or bar. A very pleasant... More

The Bridge House has recently changed hands & we had just a sunday lunch, as its a convenient place for us to meet. The location off the M23 is very easy to find plus parking is good. The main reception has been nicely made over & now is very welcoming. The staff are very attentive & friendly. The menu was... More

My wife and I stayed at the Bridge House Hotel for two nights in December. This was our second visit to the hotel, having stayed there a year earlier. On the first occasion we had been lucky to be booked into a spacious bedroom which was well decorated and clean. This year we stayed in a similarly furnished, but smaller... More

Thank you for your review and so sorry that after just a few years after we totally refurbished the Bridge House Hotel, you feel this very busy hotel needs freshening again.......some measure of how busy we have been and we will look into this. Your comments about the team are most kind and we look forward to welcoming you back... More

A lingering smell (similar to stale air freshener) A small attic room with sloping ceilings which my husband constantly bumped his head on Dirty skirting boards, Carpet and mould on the bathroom ceiling No bath, tiny shower room, the water from the shower drained so slowly that we almost flooded the room, I think this was to ensure that you... Thank you for your review and I am so sorry you were disappointed with the hotel. The entire hotel was refurbished a few years ago and new air conditioning was installed which also provides the heating, although we do have stand alone electric heaters for those who prefer this. The rooms vary in size and this is reflected in our... More

Really didn't enjoy my stay the room was basic, the reception, bar, lounge area is quite small, too small to sit and relax in. the breakfeast included tinned peaches and cold toast, would not like to stay again.

Thank you for your reply but rather perplexed at the pretty good ratings you gave us and your comments about small bar lounge reception area. We certainluy dont purport to be a country house hotel with acres of lounges and the public areas are i fact pretty generous for the size of hotel. Dont really undersatand the room being described... I booked a room here about 2 months ago as this is the venue for friends' wedding. The "special function" price was £87 for 2 people room & breakfast; with no choice of rooms (however, we were able to request a non-smoking room). I did not receive a confirmation number or email; the receptionist/reservationist simply said "that's booked". When we... More

Thank you for your review and sorry you were disappointed. The Bridge House Hotel, in common with other industries uses a best available rate which means that, particularly for weddings where it is important to try to accommodate as many guests as possible a rate is set for the event. During the time this rate is in operation, it is... More

Booked a single room for a friday night at short notice. 47 quid including breakfast, which I thought I'd give a try. Hotel looks like the Bates Motel and arrived in darkness to almost lose front-axel on a massive pot-hole ("dispute as to whose responsibility it is between us and the Council" noted the Concierge). Inside, the hotel is also... More
