My partner and I absolutely loved this place.. The room we stayed in was adorable including the gorgeous furniture. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived, and made to feel at home. We had a beautiful stay, with dinner at the restaurant which the food was to die for, especially the deserts ! The owners took the time to... More

Stayed in March 2013 in a front room & could not believe how quiet our night was, we are locals & anticipated more noise, friends met us for dinner in the restaurant and we all ordered different mains, the desserts was to die for. Staff chatty, friendly , we left early the next morning before breakfast organised as we were... More

We booked our stay in the main guest house without having read any reviews. And we were glad! Yes, the hotel isn't modern and contemporary, which is the reason we loved it most! It is very well appointed and caters to every expectation - lovely spacious rooms, wood fires (we went in autumn), all-you-can-eat continental breakfast (including delicious pastries!), unexpected... I recently surprised my wife and took us off to alberts cottage, st mounts guesthouse at blackheath for a three night stay. I chose st mounts because my wife loves rustic, historic and wonderfully restored old world charm cottages , and villages in general , and alberts cottage and blackheath , fullfilled all her high expectations. From the time we... More

Dear Jim, Thank you very much for your review. It's reassuring to see that people like you appreciate the history and old world charm of places like St Mounts in the Blue Mountains. We certainly do have a heritage worth sharing. We look forward to seeing you both here again soon. More

My family used to holiday at St Mounts 20 years ago when the guest house was managed buy other owners. Back in those days it was a buzzing place, full of people, energy, fun and had a wonderful holiday vibe. I've stayed at St mounts twice in the past year and have been really disappointed. The property is in disrepair,... More

Dear Georgina, you stayed in one of our cottages which are 3 star.NOT the guesthouse. The cottages as I explained to you on the phone when you made your booking, are 3 star, not 4. I gave you the cottage for one night although we usually have a two night minimum and the cottages are all self contained, NO breakfast, which... More

Fantastic restaurant & nice bed, however I would not suggest staying here unless you do not mind parking on the street, tiny bathrooms, noisy nights and a cold breakfast. A good experience would be had if you go to the Restaurant & stay somewhere else.

Had a lovely stay at St Mounts. We got a special deal from Wotif for two nights and they happened to be the two warmest days on record! 35 degrees in the Blue Mountains is VERY rare. We stayed in Room 4 which was lovely, and while the room was quite still and with no fan or airconditioning, we still... More

This has to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed at from living memory and this is supposed to be an accredited 4 star accommodation. Here's why: 1. No ventilation as there was no window that would open to the outside 2. No air-conditioning and no fan to help relieve the oppressive heat and stuffiness (we kept the toilet... More

Thank you for your ( mostly inaccurate review ).. Firstly may I say that you are correct in saying that your room was not airconditioned. Some rooms are, but yours was not, however ALL rooms have windows that open to the outsie. Your room does not have a bar fridge, but there is a large fridge in the breakfast area... More

We got to St. Mount's after dark, after a very long day of flying and driving. The outside looks a bit weary, but the interior is charming and quirky. It is wondeful having a great Italian restaurant on the property - we at there both nights we stayed at the hotel. Also convenient having breakfast included. The people there were... More

After much hype we thought it a good idea to not only eat at the St. Mounts Trattoria but to sleep at the hotel as well.Let me say the food at the Trattoria was outstanding!
