I agree with what others have said on the dated decor. Apart from the pretty average buffet breakfast, I have nothing bad to say. Service was wonderful, everyone was really friendly and helpful. Dinner was delicious. The room was warm and comfortable. Our view was beautiful. Cradle Mountain itself was fantastic. One the most amazing walks I have done. It... More

I read other reviews of Cradle Mountain Chateau before travelling. After reading those reviews, the Chateau exceeded my expectations. I would agree that the décor is somewhat dated and the rooms could do with a makeover but they are warm and comfortable. I would agree that if you can, upgrade to a loft bedroom - it is worth the few... More

Stayed just 1 night and all was sensational although very quiet with few people about on a mid-week night. A room that had 2 lounge chairs and a writing desk all in wonderful timber matched the remainder of the property with old-world charm where there was Internet access alongside a library and wood fires. Dining room served me a great... More

We stayed 2 nights in a standard queen room. Very nice and comfortable, great atmosphere. Log fires burning all over the place. Was pretty quiet in mid May so had the run of the place. The photo exhibition was really very good. Restaurant fairly expensive especially when it is the only choice but food was very nice and well presented.... More

Rooms were ok but very noisy-any one walking in hallway echoed into rooms. Communal areas were so hot that it was impossible to even think of relaxing in them. Breakfast was very humdrum as was the evening meal. Service was only just ok. Great area with lots of walks, at all levels, but would choose somewhere else to stay if... More

A great place to stay for the fresh mountain air. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms comfortable. we stayed at the end of April when very few were there. This limited the choice of evening meals as we had to "eat in". Menu selection was limited (understandably). Just a very short drive into the National Park and this... More

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Chateau in early May 2013.Stayed in a split level King room with a great view into the surrounding bush.Plenty of room & a lovely spa to relax in was a highlight. The meals were lovely and the bar area was very relaxing as well as the lounges around the chateau.Having the wilderness gallery... Stayed here for 1 night over the easter break. We were very happy we booked early, as this place was very busy over Easter. Rooms are comfortable without being flashy, but they fit in perfectly with the surrounding environment. Each room has plenty of space to spread out. We stayed in the split level king spa. Best part of the... More

Lovely hotel, not much atmosphere , not very busy when we were there in march, restaurant was practically empty, we didn't want to eat till 8 and this seemed quite late for them to accommodate us. However the choice we made was good but quite expensive with wine. Lovely to have the wild life all around us, all in all... More

Normal motel room. View of the bush. Warm enough to sleep in and not enough room to do anything else in anyway. A lovely library with an open wood fire where we were able to take our wine and snack and read a book or ipad. Free wi fi. Due to the secluded location you are limited to the Chateau... More
